A collection of new collages by Brooklyn-based visual artist and writer Sydney S. Kim, with an introduction text piece by KISS/KISS.
GIRLFRIEND TAPE visually communicates the ins and outs of a complex relationship between two individuals using an incredibly simple gesture: two pieces of masking tape are arranged in multiple formal relationships upon a flatbed scanner. These minimalist compositions manage to narrate a wealth of paradoxes involving physical intimacy, emotional distance, and reconciliation.
Limited edition of 100 signed and numbered copies.
Laser-printed, black ink on powder pink paper, 28lb stock with 67lb cover, staple-bound.
